Family Outreach ^
Recent immigrants looking to build a family life in the US face many challenges. We are there to help — from pre-marriage preparation and helping with employment issues to organizing mother and toddler groups. Program services include:
- Assisting emigrants to find suitable employment and/or housing
- Advice on workers’ employers’, home owners’ and tenants’ rights
- Mother and toddler group, which provide support for new mothers and help alleviate the loneliness of parents and individuals with no extended family nearby
- Mother and toddler group meet every Wednesday, 9.30 AM – 12 noon at St Mark’s Church, (hall downstairs) Dorchester. Dorchester, St. Mark’s Church – 1725 Dorchester Avenue, Dorchester, MA, 02124
- Pre marriage preparation courses – you need to call first to pre-register for a pre marriage course and ask to speak with Sr. Marguerite Kelly.
- Support & counseling for married couples
- Advice with medical and healthcare issues or you can call the Boston Health Commission, 800-847-0710
